We were thinking about trying to get away in our Superstar hot pants, watching the detectives… 

PART I

When we got hailed by the policewoman, we got hailed by our own prospective cab. 

“Hey, You There!”

We turned around. 

Oh Shit, we thought, that cab’s going uptown. 

(like the cab, we were in NYC, but unlike the cab, we were going downtown).

So we turned around again. 

But the policewoman was just a taxi cab with a policewoman in it.

She was working on the job for dramatic effect and due to economic factors.

It passed, and we were no more. To her, we were a passing fare; to ourselves regarding her authority and motion, we might have been a part of a larger bust-up.

She proceeded onward. Krishna, the policewoman thinks, 

What do I have to do to get a good ride in this city? 

It’s been a long time … Not since ‘11 when I was putting those Wall Street 99% in handcuffs… 

Stuff’s got tougher since then, my touch’s got stiffer…

Since then, I’ve just been putting them away… 

She thought, feeling her waistband after eight post-shift beers. 

Still without a wife… Still, I’m beside it all…

To distract from her work, she checks her appearance in the rear-view mirror. 

She swerves to avoid like ten teenagers murdering themselves in Yorkshire. She puts her hand in her hair, it comes out gloppy.

PART II

Superstar gets the impression that the supreme being (BOD) or artist, or Bod Mellor, wants to dominate the portly policewoman character in a visual medley (commentary) upon state-issued power and, potentially, a kind of horniness for their visual austerity. 

Superintendent Edwards (Felicity Montagu), Police Constable Mel Draper (Katy Kavanagh) Chief Inspector Garner (Joanna Scanlan), Police Constable Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton), the list goes on: a Fortnite skin painted en plein air, stretched to encase the four humours (sanguine, choleric, melancholic, and phlegmatic) that come together to make just the one irony: 
Feminised crime-fighting resilience. 

What do female policewomen, the MTV Awards “Sliming” tradition and conceptual painting have in common? They are never the main characters of their own story due to their aesthetic disadvantages, and are often involved in demonstrations of power play (against) gender norms. 

In the world of the exhibition -&#38;nbsp; works are assembled as if on the walls of an escape room that is crime-themed. Generic, kitschy, above all - big time signifying - intended to aid the escapees in their atmospheric experience. 

Mellor does defile their stars and starlets with a semenical substance recalling the green ooze that MTV celebs are covered in.. In each painting, the policewoman is getting wrecked by the painter - they are getting stuff all over their face like messy, naughty sluts. It’s so humiliating when cum is in your hair. 

And it's horrifying when cum remains in your unwashed hair thick with cig smoke from solving crime. These cops are alter egos, furnishing the SAW trap of the cop shop that one must enter in order to police the legality of your own femininity. 

Theoretical painting is rlly hard to do. Mellor’s schizo approach to the various alter egos - embodied painting as a fictional subject is a new one and maybe actually quite a welcome relinquishing of power from the hand of the artist. 

Although, bearing all of that in mind: an ejaculate onto the power-that-be’s face, whether through camouflage patterned twigs, blood boils and meatballs, reeds, slime and ectoplasm, is quite a nice way of expressing affection for someone. Especially when that someone is yourself. End on a nice note.

PART III

I hope that everyone I have invited turns up late. I’m not ready, I’m shooting things off, they stick in the walls, make marks . 


Top of my tower, I have to open the trap door to see down the middle; check the rope ladder where they are swinging pinpricks a long way down. 

Make a cup of tea, check the weather outside, it’s green blankness on the ITV outside. 


They arrive to inspect my inspector’s hut.


My Guests Hello. 


I only invited the women who smelt the most when they crushed my head between their thighs. 


And now when they are up here all together… 


Drinking tea and squash and having milk with beer and all of them farting discreetly at once. 


I’m a bad guest in this girl’s house… They think in their own nefarious way. 

I’m so sick of this. They said, all piling in, continuously, after the advert break. 

One of them trips a trap and the inspector’s hut starts to revolve, the centrifugal force pushes all the leaking would-be policewoman to their gleeful mutual edge. 

The whole thing spinning like Some Guy discovering action painting, duh.&#38;nbsp;

‘Drawings from Airport Love Theme’ presents 116 hand drawn pages from a graphic
novel alongside a painting.

						
Airport Love Theme was published in 2020 by Book Works London, based on Farah’s
experience in 2016 being held and interrogated in a detention facility at Los Angeles
International Airport (LAX) after attempting to travel into the US from Australia for an art
fair in New York.

						
Sometimes absurd, sometimes banal exchanges involving power, delusion, desire,
projection, celebrity, antagonism, food, and family plays out between an ensemble of
two groups: detainees travelling from mostly Postcolonial states and a unit of mostly
racialised American border security officers.

						
The painting, Untitled (Bedroom in Arles), 2016, - a stretched copy of a Van Gogh - was
carried through the detention facility at LAX during events detailed in the graphic novel
and was eventually exhibited at NADA Art fair in New York, without Farah’s attendance.

						
This story of policy enforcement occurred in 2016 under an Obama administration.
Upon the book’s publishing in 2020, it underscored a failure to deliver on an
international art world’s promise of mobility fueled by selectively permeable borders.
Accounts of arbitrary detainment and denial of entry have echoed more frequently in
2025 as an outcome of discriminate hardening of spatial boundaries in Europe and the
U.S, along racial and religious lines, punishing dissenting political belief (particularly
Palestinian solidarity) and often utilised for cruel political theatre.

We haven't opened yet, but we are working on it and we are doing our best to meet your expectations… is an exhibition about Public Relations also known as the art of announcing and describing an event that hasn’t yet happened.
The invention of PR is often attributed to the American fortune teller and behavior puppeteer Edward Bernays. As a slight bonus to the apparent complexities involved, Bernays also happened to be the nephew of the Austrian progenitor of psychoanalysis Sigmund Freund. 

As applicable as this investigation may be to many paths of this world,&#38;nbsp; the exhibition We haven't opened yet, but we are working on it and we are doing our best to meet your expectations… zones in on the expectations that may or may not have been built up around an exhibition's opening reception.How can press releases, invitation cards, photographs, documentation or social media build up the expectation and narrative before an exhibition has opened? Will the opening influence the success of the show? The dynamics of the anticipation surrounding the act of an opening are hinted at and examined here at Institut Funder Bakke.  
We haven't opened yet, but we are working on it and we are doing our best to meet your expectations… addresses the complexities surrounding the shaping of an exhibition, focusing on where it truly begins—is there a pre-opening moment? And if so, where is that moment?—not just with the opening, but in the curatorial decisions made beforehand. Through titles, graphic design, social media, locations and spatial details artists and curators build up narratives about works or exhibitions.We haven't opened yet, but we are working on it and we are doing our best to meet your expectations… relates to the exhibition Setting the Tone of the Exhibition – The Anatomy of Exhibition Openings at Malmö Konstmuseum and examines how small curatorial gestures shape the initial experience.

BANKExcerpts from THE BANK FAX-BAK SERVICE (Helping You Help Yourself) 1998 - 1999

Between 1998 and 1999, the London-based art collective BANK operated The BANK Fax-Bak Service. For the project, the group’s members, Simon Bedwell, John Russell and Milly Thompson proof-read and copy-edited more than 300 press releases published by galleries in London and New York. The procedure was simple: after adding their mocking corrections, the artists faxed the promotional texts back to the respective galleries. The BANK Fax-Bak Service exposes the art market’s (ongoing) sisyphean effort to legitimize itself through boasting, self-important and nonsensical language.

Corporate franchised stores have shelving equipment manufactured for their needs. When this franchise moves or upgrades, their equipment is then sold to a resale warehouse which in turn resells the equipment to a smaller store, selling and buying back from them many times over different components of that shelving system. U20E is an extension device, meant to modify an already existing shelving unit. It had been painted black by a previous owner, to have proxy matched the rest of its components.

Women In Love

In a recently unearthed video from July 2006, George Michael took the decision to speak to the press about paparazzi photos published of him leaving a cruising area in Hampstead Heath in the early hours of the morning. Naturally, the tabloid discourse that surrounded these images came from a place of acrid homophobia that this sort of media so loves. In this unedited video, Michael is passionate, radically clear and composes himself with a level of articulation that pierces any potential thatthe interviewer may have as collateral.

He is furious that lies about his own relationship are being printed and at one moment he says that it is heterosexual women who are the worst when it comes to judging his non monogamous relationship; in fact straight men, much like gay men, understand this act of cruising whether they admit this or not. Women are jealous and therefore as a side effect they spurt homophobia.

But - what if this accusation of homophobia is in fact misguided and comes from a place which Michael is seemingly blind to - that sexual adventure is an arena for men to enjoy and explore and this freedom is not available for women. For women, as Michael so aptly explains (as straight culture), just going to a bar comes with the risk of being drugged where cruising is a non violent space. Cruising gives Michael joy.

In another TV interview from 2019, Emiliy Maitlis interviews The Duke of York about his friendship with serial paedophile and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. At one moment when Maitlis questions His Royal Highness about the accusations against him by Virginia Giuffre, who at the time was seventeen years old, that she had been trafficked to have sex with The Duke of York, an adult male, multiple times in various countries, his response is odd.

He explains in dry, strange, almost textbook psychological terms that for men having sex is considered a positive action and positive actions are things that are remembered.

To be precise - his words were:

If you are a man it is a positive act to have sex with somebody (sic) if you try to forget it's very difficult to try and forget positive action and I do not remember anything.

A very interesting allegory for rape.

Popular notions of female sexual pleasure live in consumerist worlds of the worthy, holistic, manageably subversive and even worse- the spiritual. Vegan leather whips, organic lubricants and pastel pink dildos are seen as friendly ways for women and queers to be sexual. I want more than this.

Sex for us does not have to be sanctimonious - perhaps masturbation is the only wild place for us and I am a woman in love with it.

I en for nyligt offentliggjort video fra juli 2006, besluttede George Michael sig for at tale til pressen omkring publiceringen af en række paparazzi billeder af ham, der tidlig morgen forlader et krydstogtsted [cruising area] i Hampstead Heath. Den tabloide diskurs, der omgav billederne, havde naturligvis rødder i en stærk form for homofobi, som denne medietype elsker så højt. I den uredigerede video er Michael passioneret, fuldstændig klar og formulerer sig på et niveau, der bryder igennem potentialet for enhver form for kritik, intervieweren måtte sidde inde med.

Han er rasende over, at løgne omkring hans eget forhold bliver trykt og på et tidspunkt siger han, at det er heteroseksuelle kvinder, der er de værste, når det kommer til at dømme hans ikke-monogame forhold; faktisk forstår heteroseksuelle mænd, meget ligesom homoseksuelle mænd, denne form for cruising uanset om de står ved det eller ej. Kvinder er jaloux og derfor, som en sideeffekt, spyr de med homofobi.

Men - hvad hvis denne beskyldning om homofobi faktisk er fejlagtig og kommer fra et sted, Michael tilsyneladende er blind for - at seksuelle eventyr er en arena for mænd at nyde og udforske og at denne frihed ikke er tilgængelig for kvinder. For, som Michael så passende forklarer (som heteroseksuel kultur), hos kvinder indeholder blot det at tage på bar risikoen for at blive udsat for drugging, hvor cruising er et ikke-voldeligt sted. Cruising er en glæde for Michael.

I et andet TV interview fra 2019 interviewer Emily Maitlis hertugen af York omkring hans venskab til den serielt pædofile og sexhandlende Jeffrey Epstein. På et tidspunkt, hvor Maitlis spørger Hans Kongelig Højhed om anklagerne rejst af Virginia Giuffre, som på daværende tidspunkt var sytten år, om, at hun var blevet solgt til at have sex med hertugen af York, en voksen mand, flere gange i forskellige lande, er hans svar sært.

I tørre, besynderlige, nærmest psykologiske lærebogs vendinger forklarer han, at det for mænd betragtes som en positiv handling at have sex og positive handlinger er ting, der huskes.

For at være helt præcis lød hans ord:

Hvis du er en mand, er det en positiv handling at have sex med nogen (sic) hvis du prøver at glemme, det er meget svært at prøve og glemme en positiv handling og jeg husker ingenting. 

En meget interessant allegori for voldtægt.

Populære forestillinger om kvindelig seksuel nydelse eksisterer i konsumeristiske verdener af det værdige, det holistiske, det medgørligt subversive og endnu værre - det spirituelle. Veganske læder piske, økologisk glidemidle og lyserøde dildoer anses som venligsindede måder for kvinder og queers at være seksuelle på. Jeg vil have mere end dette.

Sex for os behøves ikke være selvretfærdigt - måske er onani det eneste vilde sted for os, og jeg er en kvinde forelsket i det.

Livets Midte
A digital game by Aske Zidore

Livets Midte is presented as a playable landscape painting on a digital touchscreen, which evolves interactively with audience participation. According to predetermined rules and systems, the audience can alter elements of the work affecting both visual and sonic aspects such as the direction of the wind, or triggering a lark's song or changing the way light reflects on the water.

The title of the work is derived from a poem by the German Romanticist Friedrich Hölderlin. In this work the poet is placed in a central role as the celebrant of the gods and joy. Similarly, in the 3D environments of Livets Midte, the player is positioned at the center, in first-person view, with the ability to control movements and variations in nature. 

The music is composed for an octet and developed using a systematic approach to notation, where grids serve as the actual music sheets. The musical grids subsequently form the perspective foundation for the landscapes.

The interplay of composition, nature and gaming creates a digital cultivation where the player is engaged as both artist and gardener.

By imitating and manipulating nature through animation, the game simultaneously evokes memories of - the electric erotic purple of Kristian Zahrtmann - the holistic music of La Monte Young as well as the trouble with humanities progress encountered by Flemming Quist Møller’s Snuden!

Aske Zidore is a Danish artist, composer, and game designer. In his interdisciplinary practice, he uses modern notions of nature as a canvas for storytelling and critique. Zidore brings these complexities close to daily life by creating simplified and playful realms, through sound, image and game logic inspired composing, to examine the representations and symbols that shape a shared reality. Game mechanics are central to Zidore’s practice, utilised as a way to map fragments of feelings and memories that transcend normalized boundaries of space, body and time. His creations span over works for choir and instruments, as well as installations, games, prints, and 3D animations, all unfolding within non-linear structures guided by intelligent systems and rulebooks.

	A Sock In The Eye lends its title from the poem I Am Not One of The by the poet, performer and disability activist Cheryl Marie Wade.This show is the second in a two part mini series at IFB showcasing the discourses produced by buildings included in the Danish Conservation Act of 1918. (Fredningsloven) The first one dealt with The Danner House Building (Man In House)

The building in question here is the Charlottenborg castle, erected during the 1670s and home to the Royal Danish Academy of Arts since 1754. The building is included in the Danish Conservation Act and has been since the legislation was passed in 1918. This, as a consequence has made education next to impossible for those with disabilities, as the Danish Conservation Act makes it incredibly difficult or more simply just expensive to alter the architecture in order to, for instance, implement an elevator.

The exhibition A Sock In the Eye consists of three architectural models that have been commissioned in collaboration with Chair of&#38;nbsp;Architecture and Care at the Department of Architecture ETH Zürich. Alongside the work Carried and Held (2012 -) by American artist Park McArthur. 
Thus A Sock In The Eye takes on the task of fantasizing about what The Royal Danish Academy of Arts in Copenhagen (1754) could look like, if the building was accessible.

It does so from three different perspectives on accessibility, Crip (Jordan Whitewood-Neal) Neurodivergence (Magda Mostafa) and Queer Aging (Andreas Angelidakis).

The combination of these three perspectives produces concrete proposals for the Academy, and more generally lends itself to an idea that moves architectural thinking away from compensation towards dreams beyond accommodation. 

On Tuesday the 16th of April 2024, The Bourse Building (Børsen) - former home to the Copenhagen stock exchange, now owned by the Danish Chamber of Commerce and the first building in Denmark to be listed on the Conservation Act - burned to the ground. 


The exhibition is produced in collaboration with the Copenhagen Kunsthal O—Overgaden. The three architectural models will travel and be on show at O—Overgaden from 20th June through 4th August. O—Overgaden is itself a venue included in the Danish Conservation Act, currently offering wheelchair access through its main entrance with a mobile stairlift, while working on obtaining permission for install a permanent stairlift

History, beauty, art, heritage- all these powerful values dissolve, dissipate, become transparent in the absence of equitable access.

Art in its instruction, production and consumption is a deeply multi-sensory act- and within that act lies its power but also its challenge for the Neurodivergent mind. This mind- and its embodied relationship to the physical space of art- may pendulate between sensory seeking and sensory avoiding. Without, however, the senso-spatio-socio physical infrastructure to enact this pendulation, places of art may remain inaccessible to the neurodivergent experience. They may become islands of beauty and self-expression out of reach for the Neurodivergent experience by virtue of the very power they embody- the power of the deeply- and often overwhelming- multi-sensorality.

This piece explores this paradox by presenting the Neurodivergent experience as existing between two notions- that of the historical palace, represented as a transparent almost invisible vessel- falling from its position of importance as an artifact in and of itself, and only valuable in that it holds the prospect of space for the Neurodivergent experience with art. This is juxtaposed with a freeform spatial infrastructure inspired by the Autism ASPECTSS EscapeScape. As a white organic connected spatial canvas, it follows anticipatory desire lines through the palace, and expands into Sensory Escape Spaces- points strategically placed to provide the opportunity for sensory seeking and sensory avoidance- represented in a neutral white to take on future possibilities ranging along the spectrum of neutrality to sensory stimulation- from the absence of colour to the possibility of the full colour spectrum.

I see this as a canvas for possible futures- spaces that can be appropriated to escape and regulate the senses, but also spaces for sensory exploration through color, light, texture, movement and sound.

Inspired by the doll houses of MJ Long, and the desire to repurpose and reimagine the Charlottenborg building through a crip lens, this model opens up the building and its interior courtyard, providing a space for a speculative crip art collective to take route. Permeated by a sculptural ramp the space provides not only a provocation about heritage, disability, and the transformation of institutional space, but as an object, offers a backdrop for visitors and students to insert their own ideas for inhabitation. The model is imagined as a space for ongoing discussion, planning, and augmentation.

	EavesdropperAs a child, Maja Li Härdelin faked illness to skip school and spend the day with her mum, who would lower her voice to keep her daughter from listening in on her private conversations: ‘But the whispers only amplified the content.’ 

Remembered fact and dramatised self-reflection mix to become synthetic consciousness at the bottom of being. Amplification, then: as a child, Maja Li Härdelin (or her persona in the film) faked illness to skip school (she used the power of falsity to define responsibility differently) and spend the day with her mum (a caregiver who flips into alien with a change of tone), who would lower her voice (is the voice the seat of spirituality?) to keep her daughter from listening in on her private conversations (mutual betrayal and sex are not far away here): ‘But the whispers only amplified the content.’ 

In the first of several unexpected encounters, the ‘unknown being’ appears. It is a gnome with grey, wrinkly skin and a malicious voice which adds the register of the supernatural to that of psychoanalysis, in the context of a discussion about ‘the gospel of truth'. By the artist’s own admission, “gnome” is an inadequate term for the nameless things that lurk ‘in the corners of reality’.

When you pick up contraband within the real to enrich and augment relations to other humans or other beings, signification begins to heave and drift. The micro-event attains a staged, meaningful quality: a cushion or illuminated specks of hovering dust assume a filthy eloquence; filled chocolates become slips of the tongue.&#38;nbsp;Even in fairy tales, mundane materiality is not saturated with meaning like these obscene definitions of perfection. 

As above, so below: eavesdropping, not simply to transgress the taboo but to affirm the real as a multi-dimensional ecology. Unless you are as fundamentalist about ‘the gospel of truth’ as straight religious people are there is irony at play in mystical reality, in the simple sense that irony places truth elsewhere than it is supposed to be. Irony dynamizes and renders movable the notion of truth, thereby shifting the focus away from truth-as-such to the means and ways with which it is mediated – a profoundly aesthetic proposition.

Yes, the unknown being eats children. ‘We are closing in on the possibility of understanding people’, the professor says. Family… Nationality… Maybe music allows for eavesdropping on other dimensions? Daring to play loud enough. Permanent penetration of the skull. Through its own meandering logic, alterity can appear through tiny holes.

MAN IN HOUSE takes its name from a sign that would be mandatory to place in the entrance of Copenhagen’s Danner House to alert the residents that a man had entered.
Danner House has a remarkable history, it was built between 1873-75 as a home for poverty stricken women and their children by Countess Danner. Originally named Louise Rassmusen she was the daughter of a servant who became a ballet dancer which is how she met the king, who she later married (to the left hand) becoming the Countess. After the king's death, the Countess commissioned the erection of the house.
During the development of the Danish welfare state, fewer and fewer women needed a space like the Danner House. In the 1970s a developer tried to buy and tear the building down, turning it into offices.
In reaction to this capitalist's desire The Danish Women's Liberation Movement occupied the house and a vast cross national fundraising took place by individuals and groups of women. Due to this action Danner House was protected and subsequently restored and renovated solely by female builders.
From here on the building changed its functions to both a refuge and a crisis and knowledge center to raise awareness and prevent violence against women.
Within MAN IN HOUSE lurks the Scandinavian paradox, a murky and embarrassing inconsistency within the statistics surrounding domestic abuse. In what is apparently the safest area in the world, with Denmark ranking as the fourth safest country, it in fact has an ongoing problem where domestic abuse levels remain almost always static regardless of public crime and violence lessening and gender equality apparently expanding.
In contemporary discourse conversations around gender seem to sidestep what is still a huge elephant in the room - gendered domestic violence. Domestic abuse is perhaps one of the ultimate crimes and because of this an inevitably complicated but essential conversation because it is everywhere.
MAN IN HOUSE is an exhibition exploring the history of this remarkable house that attempts to shine a light on an ever present but quite literally invisible domestic catastrophe.

 

Sitara Abuzar Ghaznawi is an artist born 1995 in Ghazni, Afghanistan who lives and works in Zürich and Tbilisi. The artist works with mixed media and installation and considers notions of how taste is produced under environments of western narratives and hierarchies. For this exhibition she has shown her work&#38;nbsp;‘Male Extinction 2’&#38;nbsp;(2020). This work includes a man’s shirt, cigarette burns, and other intimate yet disposable objects underneath the glass of a frame.
Sidsel Meineche Hansen is an artist born 1981 in Ry, Denmark. Her work crosses media from video, sculpture and drawing and explores themes of power, sex, capitalism and the pharmaceutical industry. In this show she has made a sculpture of a chimney named ‘Home vs Owner 2’.
Nancy Lupo is a sculptor born in 1983 in Flagstaff, Arizona USA and lives and works in Los Angeles and wherever she is. Lupo’s work is invested in the multisensory and for this exhibition she has made a held hand into an object. Here, it is cast in bronze and plays as a door handle on the outside of the building. Its name is ‘escape handle three‘ (2023)
Diego Marcon is an artist born in 1985 in Busto Arsizio, Italy who lives and works in Milan. His film The Parents Room&#38;nbsp;(2021) is playing in the garage. The film is a sort of musical about family, death and a bird.
Reba Maybury is an artist, writer and dominatrix born in 1990 in Oxford, UK. Her work is made under her orders by her submissives and for this show she has had her crossdressing submissive complete a paint by number kit of Degas’s The Star, The Dancer on Stage (1876). However this work’s name is&#38;nbsp;Amanda, British civil servant, 50, Blackpool, 2.&#38;nbsp;(2023)
Dea Trier Mørch was born in 1941 in Copenhagen in Denmark and died there in 2002. She was an artist, activist and writer who was passionate about socialism and well known for her lithograph prints depicting women's work. For this show two of her prints are on show.Stuehuset ,1978 - Forvalteren, 1978
Ser Serpas &#38;amp; Rafik Greiss. Ser is an artist who was born in 1995 and currently resides between New York, Tbilisi and Paris but was born in Los Angeles in the USA. Rafik also lives and works in Paris and is an Irish born Egyptian artist born in 1997. For this exhibition an edition of a photograph of one of Ser’s sculptures, made from discarded objects found on the streets of Paris has been taken by Rafik. The work is named By the Highway 22,&#38;nbsp;2023.

	Rul ned for danskA powerful symbol has integrity.&#38;nbsp; As design, symbols are both easy to create and identify. This integrity allows them to contain bureaucratic and doctrinal misunderstandings, and makes them flexible to contradictions and changes.&#38;nbsp; A powerful symbol is both a target for conflict and a creator of cohesion and stability.&#38;nbsp;

Pareidolia is to see familiar objects or patterns in otherwise random or unrelated objects. It is a form of apophenia, a general term for the human tendency to seek patterns in random information. It is particularly prevalent for those invested in religion and spirituality.In geometry, a line is an infinitely long object with no width, depth, or curvature. A line makes for a weak symbol.&#38;nbsp; It is too brutal and ill suited to ideology.&#38;nbsp; It is more commonly used as a division or component, not an end in itself.Any dough that can be baked into a regular sized loaf can also be made into buns. There is a legal difference between a bun and a loaf. Laws surrounding bread have existed since the Egyptian period. In English Folklore, a piece of hot cross bun given to someone ill is said to help them recover. If taken on a sea voyage, hot cross buns are said to protect against shipwreck.A finger joint is a woodworking joint made by cutting a set of complementary, interlocking profiles in two pieces of wood.&#38;nbsp; The cross-section of the joint resembles the interlocking of fingers between two hands. These joints are advantageous because they locate joint features within the tolerances of the material.Since 1936, Jehovah's Witnesses have rejected the idea that Jesus died on a cross, and instead teach that he died on a single wooden stake (crux simplex), asserting that the Koine Greek word "σταυρός" (stauros) referring to a single upright post. They consider the cross to be of pagan origin and therefore an object of idol worship.A blog is an online journal where an individual, group, or corporation presents a record of activities, thoughts, or beliefs in the form of text, photos and video. The majority of food blogs use pictures taken by the author and some of them focus specifically on food photography.The hot cross bun marks the end of the Christian season of Lent. The cross represents the crucifixion of Jesus, and the ingredients signify the spices used to anoint his body, mask the odours of death and prevent decay, often including orange peel to reflect the bitterness of his time on the Cross. Removing objects in digital images is challenging because of the surrounding objects and the image’s background. Choosing the right tool allows removal of the unwanted object without affecting the rest of the image. If a part of an image is removed simply by cutting it out, then a hole is left in the background. The Clone tool can fill in this hole convincingly with a copy of the existing background from elsewhere in the image.Iconoclasm is the social belief in the importance of the destruction of icons and other images or monuments, often for religious or political reasons. People who engage in or support iconoclasm are called iconoclasts. Conversely, one who reveres or venerates religious images is called an iconolater, iconodule or iconophile.

Et stærkt symbol har en iboende integritet. Hvilket gør designet let at afkode og let at tegne. Desuden vil denne type integritet ofte tillade symbolet at være køretøj for en lang række ustabile doktriner og bureaukratiske misforståelser, og dermed gøre det fleksibelt for modsætninger, ændringer og modifikationer. Et stærkt symbol kan altså simultant fungere som ramme for konflikt og stabilitet.Pareidolia betyder at se familiærer objekter eller mønstre i tilfældige eller u-relaterede objekter. Det er beslægtet med apophenia som er den mere generelle menneskelige tendens til at søge mønstre i tilfældig information. Det forekommer hyppigt hos folk som er investeret i religion eller spiritualitet.En Linje er i geometrien samtlige punkter mellem to punkter samt i forlængelsen heraf. En linje er uendelig lang og har ingen bredde eller højde. En linje er som sådan et svagt symbol, dens brutalitet gør den dårligt anvendelig for ideologi. Den er oftere anvendt som skiller eller komponent end som et slutmål i sig selv. Enhver dej der kan bages til en regulær klump brød kan også bages til en bolle.Der eksisterer en lovmæssig forskel på en bolle og en klump brød. Lovgivning omkring brød har eksisteret siden det gamle egypten. I engelsk folklore siges det at en Påskebolle (The hot cross bun) kan helbredde den syge, og hvis medbragt på et skib vil påskebollen forhindre skibbrud.En fingertap er - i arbejdet med træ - lavet ved at skære et sæt af komplementære samlings profiler ud i to stykker træ. Navnet er formodentligt genereret af samlingernes lighed med flettede fingre. Siden 1936 har Jehovas Vidner afvist ideen om at Jesus døde på et kors, men hævder at han derimod døde på en pæl (crux simplex). Hvis en del af billedet bliver fjernet ved simpelthen at skære det ud, vil det efterlade et hul i baggrunden. Med Kloningsværktøjet kan man dog efterfølgende udfylde dette hul med materiale hentet fra andre steder i billedet. En ikonoklasme er en bevidst destruktion eller krænkelse af symbolske billeder eller ikoner. En ikonoklastisk handling indebærer normalt, at aktiviteten er offentlig, oprørsk og udføres af en defineret gruppe. Mennesker, som er involverede i eller støtter ikonoklasme, kaldes billedstormere eller ikonoklaster. Omvendt er mennesker, der ærer eller nærer ærbødighed for religiøse billeder, ikonolater, ikonoduler eller ikonofiler.
